Welcome
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is dedicated to aiding those less fortunate. Established in West Palm Beach we have aided the less fortunate in all of Palm Beach County for over 50 years. Many of those we helped were able to get back on their feet and start their lives a new.
The Society is an international Catholic lay organization which offers women and men the opportunity for spiritual formation through person-to-person service to the poor and needy.
Founded in France in 1833 by a young college student, Frederic Ozanam, The Society grew quickly. The Society models its service to the poor after St. Vincent de Paul, a French priest who lived in France in the 15th Century.
The first SVDP conference in the United States was organized in 1845 in St. Louis. Missouri which today is the site of the Society's National Headquarters.
The Society in Palm Beach County serves the poor with 21 parish conferences, a food distribution warehouse, and several food pantries. The Society also supports twinning projects which assist the needy in Haiti and other areas of Latin America as well as local projects in Pahokee and Indiantown.
The Society is supported by your donations, grants from private foundations, and our national car donation program.
